Collaborated with Moustache Republic on a Shopify Plus replatforming project from BigCommerce.
The brief
Aquila, an iconic footwear and menswear brand, needed to replatform their entire e-commerce operation from BigCommerce to Shopify Plus.
Working alongside Moustache Republic, the goal was to deliver a high-performing, scalable, and visually polished Shopify Plus store that aligns with their premium brand positioning while ensuring a seamless migration for their existing customer base and product catalog.
What I built
As part of the development team partnering with Moustache Republic, I focused on core frontend implementation, custom theme architecture, and ensuring key functional requirements were met during the transition.
This involved building tailored UI components, optimizing the theme for performance and mobile responsiveness, and ensuring third-party integrations and complex product features worked reliably within the new Shopify ecosystem.
The result
The successful replatform to Shopify Plus provided Aquila with a modern, lightning-fast, and easily manageable online storefront.
The new setup streamlined their daily e-commerce operations, enhanced the shopping experience for their customers, and set a robust foundation for their future digital growth.
